Good afternoon, my name is Pastor Ian Kinney and I am the pastor of First Lutheran Church in Sabetha Kansas. I am reaching out to you because I understand that you work with a campus ministry.
In my congregation, I have a member who owns and runs NorthWind Technical Services. They do automation engineering and hire all kinds of engineers. They are growing and hiring constantly and really want to hire Lutherans. My member told me if I ever knew an engineer in the LCMS who wanted to move to town and come to our church, he could have a job for them.
Another member manages Bachelor Controls and another manages Schenk processing. Both of whom hire a lot of engineers.
We also have a member who runs our county ambulance. He is always looking for anyone trained as an EMT, AEMT, paramedic, or nurse.
So my plea to you is this, if you have any engineering or medical students in your campus ministry who have graduated or will be graduating soon, please give them my contact information and point them in our direction. I would love to invite them to visit, interview, and consider moving here. If they are interested in applying for a job in their field, I have a faithful LCMS church they can attend.
If they want to come visit the companies, I can house them and feed them for a weekend. If they have any questions, they can feel free to reach out to me.
